Jewelry designer Mindy Lam, reveals that her peak creativity time occurs between midnight and dawn. But Mindy is no insomniac; these are the hours she sleeps…and dreams, and when Mindy dreams, she invents new designs for her handcrafted, floral-inspired jewelry. “Now I have my ‘design’ dreams and when I wake up, I can immediately begin to create them without drawing a preliminary sketch,” she says.

Mindy’s ethereal designs take their cue from nature’s brilliance. Her worktable, laden with natural and semi-precious stones and millions of Swarovski crystals, is filled with colors that far exceed any rainbow from way beyond the rainbow…indigo, amethyst, topaz, aquamarine, citrine, tourmaline and quartz.

Mindy’s sensitivity to nature and her floral inspiration comes from growing up in China…a land of roses, peonies, orchids and camellias. A native of Hong Kong, Lam immigrated to the United States in the 90’s and currently resides in the Washington D.C. area. Like the limitless boundaries found in nature, Lam sees infinite possibilities to keep creating sensational jewelry designs that promise to be timeless classics. After all, as a woman she understands perfectly that one can never have too many beautiful accessories.
